How do I dispose of an used laser toner cartridge? Is there a place I can send it to for remanufacturing?
My first laser toner cartridge ran out. Can I throw it in the trash? I would prefer to recycle it or send it to a company that refills and resells them (remanufacturing). Does anyone have any info on those programs?

- You can take it to OfficeMax. We recycle them and give you a $3 credit towards your purchase for each cartridge you return. We take both inkjet and laser cartridges. We will remanufacture the used cartridge and resell it. Staples also has a program similar to the one at OfficeMax.
- you can return them to any movie gallery and u will get a free movie rental
- Over 40,000,000 ink jet cartridges are used every year. About 90% could be recycled. You could donate them to Scope http://www.scope.org.uk/recycling/ Or any of the other companies and charities here recycle them http://www.envocare.co.uk/cartridges.htm http://www.essexcc.gov.uk/vip8/ecc/ECCWebsite/dis/guc.jsp?channelOid=16959&guideOid=16201&guideContentOid=20287
- You can also take it to your local school and they usually have a recycling program for that. The school gets money for recycling it and helps them pay for school trips and other events for the school.
- Go to the manufacturers website. Many offer free shipping to return the cartridge. From HP you can print an free return airbill. https://h30248.www3.hp.com/recycle/supplies/index.asp?__cc=us
- office depot will take them for you and give you a coupon towards your next purchase.
