just stick the cd for your printer back into your cd rom drive and it should automatically install
It means your computer does not recognize that printer and you need to set it up again (meaning reinstall it).
You need to re-install the driver. If you have the CD, just pop it in the computer & follow the install directions. If you don't, go to the HP site & find the download install driver from them.
software must have be uninstalled, was never installed or was moved. right click on icon and then click properties. check contents of textbox entitled Target to find out where it should be or at least give you an idea what the program/software is. try to look for the program (right click "My Computer" and click search) -if it finds it, then create a shortcut for it. (to create shortcut, right click on desktop, click new, browse for the file, click ok, click next, click finish) -if it does not find it and you have the install cd, do reinstall. (check manufacturer site if latest version of software is available for download and latest version of printer driver)
