My HP photosamrt 335 photo printer will not read my cameras memory card.?

It will switch on but the memroy card slot light only flashes and then goes off. The memory card is compatible with the printer.

1. Has it ever worked? The memory card reader technology is not complicated... should "just work". A typical error message when there is a problem reading the card (on an HP printer, anyway) is "Card in Backwards". If you are not getting an error like this (or any actual error) you might be ok. Do you have the printer connected to a computer? If not, you may get more information by hooking it up, and seeing if an error comes up when you insert the card. A corrupt card, or corrupt file on the card could cause this as well. Try another card, if you have one. If not, use another device (card reader, camera etc) to copy all the pics to your computer, then format the memory card. Take another picture, and put the card back in the camera. The only way to know for sure if it's an issue with the printer or the card is to try another card. Hope that helps!
