i bought hp laser jet 1500 ,it came with black cartridge ?

i bought hp laser jet 1500 ,it came with black cartridge ? but the specs say that it is a color laser printer , how can i put it in color cartridge????

1. Hi. The site says that the box should include Black Print Cartridge, Cyan Print Cartridge, Magenta Print Cartridge, Yellow Print Cartridge. There must be three open slots for the color cartridges. These usually just snap in. http://www.superwarehouse.com/HP_Color_LaserJet_1500/Q2489A/ps/275479
2. Okay if it is an HP LaserJet 1500, this machine is not capable of color. If it is an HP Color LaserJet 1500 it will be color compatible and normally they come with sample cartridges of black and color. If it is a Color Laserjet you can go to your local office supply store and the cartridges you will need for it are: HP C9700A- black HP C9701A- cyan HP C9702A- yellow HP C9703A- magenta
3. Did it also come with the colour carts ? Did it say "Colour laswejet" on the box ? If the answer to htese is NO, then it is NOT A colour printer. In the box was a USER MANUAL or a QUICK START quide, Read them Then follow the instructions to install the colour carts. I seem to recall there is a button on them you need to press to rotate the carousel to get the next colour in

This printer is definitely a colour laser printer the cartridges go in a carousel in the printer you have to put one cartridge in close the lid let it spin when it stops put in another and so on .There will be coloured lights on the right handside of the printer which tell you which colour toner to put in next .But if you dont have the colour cartridges i would contact hp or where you got it from because you should have all four cartridges
