Please assit me with my HP laser jet 2430DTN Printer.?
I have an HP laser jet 2430DTN Printer. Couple of days ago i downloaded the latest firmware for it to update its firmware. During the firmware update (remember i used web server for updating since it's on network) I got a message on printer display saying "RFU missing, download now" i downloaded the file to the printer through LPT1 since it was not accessible through web and it worked but after downloading the file it was displayed on the printer "Cycling Power". I waited for the message to disappear but it didn't after a long time. I turned the printer off and turned it on again. Now there is nothing on the display and all the 3 lights are ON. none of the buttons work. can't even reset. Please help me it's so serious. Thanks

- The following link describes the process to update the Firmware. Link: http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/Document.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&taskId=125&prodSeriesId=416419&prodTypeId=18972&objectID=c00816379 Sounds like and reading the guidance an overlap occured with the TCP/IP and Parrallel Port update of Firmware. I don't know if that may have created a problem yet something to consider. If a problem does exist it appears the Firmware is a removeable chip and Not a board that has to be replaced. I done these before yet not seen this issue before. Sorry I can only Guess and have no definitive answer for you. One thing is if anything interrupted the power or flow of the firmware update to the printer then that is the problem. I Hope this Helps!
