How do I speed up my printer spooling speed?
I found an HP LaserJet 1100 at a garage sale for $15. It prints great, but it spools incredibly slow. I didn't have spooling problems with either of my previous ink printers (one was an HP and one was a Lexmark). I've tried a few things such as "Send Graphics as Raster," and that helped a little, but not much. And I've downloaded the latest drivers from HP's site.

- put ur printer properties as default or restore to factory settings. Also u can see by installing ur printer on another computer that its behaving same or not. If it behaves same on another computer also then its ur printers default speed and default spooling speed.
- Gosh, I thought that all printers were slow as snails, mine prints out in a snails pace.
- Check the memory available while you print. increase your buffer allocation ie the volume. the printer might be using your RAM to print. If that is low, then you can do nothing. You have to increase your RAM.
- quote - I didn't have spooling problems with either of my previous ink printers You're not USING an ink printer any more....duh...it's a LASERJet...and if you found it at a garage sale did you REALLY expect it to print out at blazing speed when you got it home? Stop being a cheap bastard and buy some new equipment or STFU
