staples sales said their printers come with "starter cartridges" (partially filled), how full are they really?

i talked to an online live help assistant and they said the hp d4160 printer comes with 2 starter cartridges which are partially filled. how full are they really?

1. Usually only half full to deter people from buying a new printer when their ink runs out cause some printers are cheap.
2. About 10 to 20 percent; companies in this bis make their money on ink, not printers!
3. They are probally about half full they will last a little while
4. The Canon printer i bought from Staples came with starters catridges. They thought i should get more when i bought the printer. I didn't. I've probably printed 50 8 x 10's photos, on my Canon starter cartidges. Looks like one color is getting low now. I don't know about HP but Canon gives you plenty in the starter cartridge.
