Please help me price these items for a yard sale?

I am looking for answers with actual prices: I'm not really sure how to price some items I am selling at a yard sale. Clothing: NEW pants (old navy) with tags still attached. New jeans (AE) but no tags Men's pants (Dockers, Tommy H) new/great condition Brand named shirts in excellent condition. Brand named sweaters(AF,AE) in good/excellent New HP photo printer with CD/manual but not in box (I got it free when I bought my computer so it not top of the line) Inline skates womens excellent condition with box NEW in box makeup bag set(4 bags & brushes) Paperback (best seller list) books Thanks - this is my first yard sell and I have tons of stuff but I just dont know how to price my stuff. Some things I think I priced too low.

1. Paperbacks can start at a dime, a quarter for the better ones. Remember - it's a yard sale. For the rest of the items, prices should be aprx 10% of retail. ~J~ (been doing ys's for YEARS)

New pants with tags: $5.00 New pants without tags: $3.00 Shirts: $2.00 Sweatshirts: $3.00 Printer and skates: $5.00 Make up set: $2.00 Books: $.50 Remember, yard sales aren't really for making money but rather to get rid of unwanted items. Also, make sure you have everything set up nice and organized. That will draw in more customers. Have fun and good luck!

4. Thrift store prices will run about 15% of what similar new items will cost at normal retail. You are, by definition, running a clearance sale so should be cheaper. Swallow hard and take it from there.
5. Try and be 2 persons to do this. Make a rack for clothing table or crates upside down to put stuff, easy ! Brand name pants m/w go to 35 to 40% off. Clothing in great condition 40 to 50% off. ( used? ) Printer: find out the price now, then go for 25 to 30% off. Make up: 40 or 55 % off. Books: novels 2.00 in pack of 4, or make snall boxes of 10 for $10.00, and you let go for $8.00. 1st you get .50cents/piece , or $1.00 piece or .80 cents/piece. Don't forget to go down a little when people bargain. It's a fun day, gain a bit of money, and you clear space for yourself. When brand new items with price and up to date, don't go to down, and after 1 o'clock p.m. then you go down a little. Have a fun day and make a bit a money, making space for yourself!
