My HP printers stop connecting to the my computer.. Help?

I have a HP Laserjet CM1015 and HP Photosmart printers. They turn on and do their independent functions with out being connected to a computer fine. But when I plug them to my desktop or laptop they don't connect. Its kinda odd that both of the printers are doing this. Can anyone suggest what might be going on?

1. You can download new drivers from hp.com
2. I'd suggest reinstalling the printer's drivers, maybe the installed files are corrupted and need to be replaced, or possibly an update is required?
3. if there both failing, it sounds like a driver issue. go to your device manager and and check your hardware profiles. see if the printers are properly installed. If not download the drivers or use the cd and then see what happens, also check your printers in your device manager to see what printer is default, if you have had other printers on there, you may have to change the defaulf printer.
