HP printer and scanner download?

I lost the disk to my HP photosmart C3100 series, so I downloaded the software/program from their website. My dilemma is that while I can print, I can't scan anything. What do I do? Thanks! Alika613

1. Install the scanner (from scanners and faxes)and let Microsoft check the internet fot drivers.
2. go to http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareList?os=228&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en&product=1146332&lang=en click on your operating system and then click on "Automatically check to see if the latest driver is installed correctly" at the top ogf the page. If you have the latest driver, then look on theis page for a patch to fix scan problems or look near the bottom of the page for the scan diagnostic utility. Run the program and follow any directions.
