1. I don't know. If it's the typical single contact, old style flash, it may but you won't get the results you'll get with today's speedlight flash units. What the heck try it. However if you're thinking of buying this flash because it's cheap don't. Get a real flash for your camera.
2. Don't even mount it on your camera. The Vivitar 2000 has a high trigger voltage, at least 10 times that of the Canon (6V) . You can fry your camera.
