- You have to install them. That generally means removing your currently installed drivers and installing the new ones. If your new driver comes with installer software, just run the program and it will do all the work for you. If it doesn't have an installer program you will have to install manually. Again, generally, that means removing your printer from your system, rebooting to allow the operating system to detect the printer and then directing the operating system to the downloaded drivers on your desktop. Good luck.
- I believe you just click the driver where it is and that will install them for you..... You can delete the file after the install is done.
- HP has an entire section on how to install and configure the drivers. Go here and plug in your printer model number. http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SupportTaskIndex.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&taskId=115&prodTypeId=18972&prodSeriesId=25470
- Dear User, If you have downloaded the driver which is in "Setup Format" Then you should run it and it will automatically install the new driver but if have many files in a folder. Then follow this procedure. Go to the control panle and then to device manager and see there your printer's icon and name in the tree. Just right click the mouse button and it will prompt you to update the driver then click update the driver, it will ask for the location then you should go to the desktop where you have stored the driver's files then it will seek the .inf file if it is there it will install the desired driver automatically. And that is all about it. Thanks
- You would have mention printer and question in details. Anyhow, if you have downloaded the correct full version software compabible for your operating systems > Double click on the file to start installation process. After installing the software > Cut and paste the software file to any location on your computer for future help. If your computer has any old software related to printers, just uninstall them first before installing this software. Go to Add/Remove programs > Remove. Also go to C:Drive > Search for the HP related software and delete them. Restart the computer after uninstalling the software and proceed with installation after restarting the computer.
