How do I get my HP Laptop computer to come out of "sleep mode"?

I have tried disconnecting my power and removing the battery, but when I turned it on again... after sitting with no power for over 6 hours... it immediately came up in "sleep mode". Everything I have tried to get it to come on or boot up have failed. Anyone out there have a same or similar problem? How did you fix/correct it? Thanks.

  1. You're gonna need a windows reboot. Take it to a professional.
  2. press the power Button for one sec. If that doesn't do it hold it. And if that doesn't work you might want a pro to check it.
  3. Press the spacer bar or any key to wake from sleep, press the power on button and release to wake from hibernate. But that is not the problem with your laptop I think it is corrupt operating system files. Press F8 repeatedly at start up black screen to enter start options chose safe mode back up every thing of importance the follow instructions at below link. Will have to guess at the installed OS and model number since you did not bother to post the info.
