Which of these HP laptops is best for the running the Sims 3?

So I have a choice of 3 HP Pavilion laptops which I customized. I need to get a new laptop for school but I would also like it to be able to run the Sims smoothly. I need to keep my budget at under $600 ok so here are the choices: 1. HP Pavilion g6x series charcoal grey Genuine Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit FREE Upgrade to 4GB DDR3 System Memory (1 Dimm) FREE Upgrade to 500GB 5400RPM Hard Drive No Additional Office Software Intel Core i3-370M + Intel(R) HD Graphics No additional security software 6-Cell Lithium-Ion Battery (standard) - Up to 4.25 hours of battery life +++ 15.6" diagonal High Definition HP BrightView LED Display (1366x76 SuperMulti 8X DVD+/-R/RW with Double Layer Support HP Webcam with Integrated Digital Microphone 802.11b/g/n WLAN Standard Keyboard HP Home & Home Office Store in-box envelope For this one I didn't have any option to choose a different processor and graphics card, that's all they're providing I guess. Budget wise I am leaning to this one somewhat because it will only be $449 before taxes and shipping is free. But the downside is that my sister has a Dell Inspiron with the same processor and graphics and the game can only run on low settings and it's very laggy so I don't like that. 2. HP Pavilion gt4 series charcoal grey Genuine Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit FREE Upgrade to 4GB DDR3 System Memory (1 Dimm) FREE Upgrade to 500GB 5400RPM Hard Drive No Additional Office Software Intel(R) Core(TM) i3-370M (2.40 GHz, 3MB L3 Cache) + 1GB DDR3 NVIDIA(R) GeForce(R) GT 520M Graphics No additional security software 6-Cell Lithium-Ion Battery (standard) - Up to 4.25 hours of battery life +++ 14.0" diagonal High Definition HP BrightView LED Display (1366 x 76 SuperMulti 8X DVD+/-R/RW with Double Layer Support HP Webcam with Integrated Digital Microphone 802.11b/g/n WLAN Standard Keyboard I saw on youtube someone with the same graphics card playing the sims 3 with almost all the settings at high but had a different processor so I think I should be able to run it almost max as well. This one would be $555 and also like the smaller screen size for better portability. 3. HP Pavilion g6t series charcoal grey Genuine Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit Intel(R) Core(TM) i3-380M Dual Core Processor (2.53 GHz, 3MB L3 Cache) 512MB DDR3 Radeon(TM) HD 6470M Graphics[HDMI, VGA] FREE Upgrade to 3GB DDR3 System Memory (2 Dimm) FREE Upgrade to 320GB 5400RPM Hard Drive No Additional Office Software FREE Upgrade to Norton Internet Security(TM) 2011 - 15 Month Subscription (activation required) 6-Cell Lithium-Ion Battery (standard) - Up to 4.25 hours of battery life +++ 15.6" diagonal High Definition HP BrightView LED Display (1366x76 SuperMulti 8X DVD+/-R/RW with Double Layer Support HP Webcam with Integrated Digital Microphone 802.11b/g/n WLAN Standard Keyboard This one I have an option of either an Intel(R) Pentium(R) Dual Core Processor P6200 (2.13 GHz, 3MB L3 Cache) or an Intel(R) Core(TM) i3-380M Dual Core Processor (2.53 GHz, 3MB L3 Cache). I obviously went with the latter because I don't think 2.1 GHz would be fast enough, my sisters is 2.4 GHz. I also have an option of 3 different graphics cards: Intel(R) HD Graphics 3000, 512MB DDR3 Radeon(TM) HD 6470M Graphics or 1GB DDR3 Radeon(TM) HD 6470M Graphics. Right now I'm torn between the last 2. For now I have chosen the 512 mb Radeon just to keep the cost down. This one is $519 and the 1 GB graphics card is $50 more which would be pushing it with my budget unless I cut back on the processor which was $70 more than the Intel P6200. So which do you think would be the best value for my money and The Sims?

  1. I never owned a laptop before this one, but this computer is everything I expected and more. I bought a good, protective case for it, a Targus, which has the Dome Protection System, and costs about $80, but is well worth it. The machine is quick, the keypad is great (except some of the punctuational key markings are a bit too small) and the screen size is very impressive. Clarity and definition are as good as you can get, and the entire machine is responsive and quick. I am impressed with the capacity, although I don't do gaming or anything fancy. For email, general business work and researching, this computer has made me a believer, and I definitely do not miss my desktop unit any longer. I travel a lot, and find the Toshiba L675 easy to hook up and use in hotels or anywhere. The case is stylish, with a clever design worked into the construction. The only downside is the speaker, which is of general tinny, low quality, like all laptops. The simple solution is to purchase a bar speaker or a set of small, compact speakers that fit in the generous-sized Targus case, and set them up to enhance the sound. When you do, you can't tell the sound quality from that of a desktop.
