- Most mini laptops have a 10inch screen, I will be hard for you to find a 11-12inch laptops. The heating problems of minis are with the location and the user. If you take care of it. It will be fine. Make sure you put it in a nice clean workplace and make sure to give it a rest from time to time. I've been using mine for about 3 years now and I don't have any problems. I suggest you check this link http://www.letsbuy.com/hp-mini-2102103tu-laptop-p-15536 It's HP so you know you can check the brand. - For lap top getting heated problems there are small fans fitted on a frame which can be kept below the lap top. For net book I will recommend Samsung which will cost you around 12000 rupees. It is highly portable. I personally use a Tablet PC, the Superpad 2, Fly touch 3 which has a 10.2 inch screen, HDMI display and wifi, 3G and GPS. It will cost around 10,000 rupees. Try ebay.in.
- Hey Nawnit, Earlier I was facing the same problem! Recently I have purchased a new netbook that is based on Intel Atom processor. The screen size is 10 inches, 7-8 hours of battery backup, Support for Windows, MeeGo and Android Operating Systems, Lower Average Power Consumption & also it is easy to carry, sleek. It costs me 12k only. Get the more info regarding this on facebook, search for IntelNetbook. I hope your problem would get solved.
- HP Mini 210-1030NR is Very good product, got it to use on the road in the RV and it works well for that because of size (very small footprint) but I have used it most at home via wireless connection. I don't miss not having drives & just use flash drives. The size of the screen was of some concern before I got the unit but that's not an issue, just sit the computer on a photo matt board (for stability & heat absorbtion) and it's just the right distance while on my lap for hours of use. Don't like the cursor touch pad & a $10 dollar wireless mouse solved that. It took a couple of days to get used to the key board but I'm almost as quick on this as the full size KB. Very pleased with the HP Mini.
