How can i set up my (wireless) HP Deskjet 3054 (printer) to my mac to scan something?

I just recently got a wireless printer (HP Deskjet 3054) to scan pictures into my macbook pro. I couldn't understand the instruction manual. Can anyone help?

1. is your printer within the network already? if not then you will have to go through the wifi settings on your printer. make sure it has the password to your router if that's not done already. you also have to turn on the wifi on your printer, if there is an option to turn it on/off. if the printer is already connected, you may have to install the printer drivers to your computer. that's about all the generalized instructions someone can tell you over the internet other than reading off the printer's intruction manual or having set up this printer before.
