How good are refill inks for HP printers?
is it worth refilling the ink cartridge or buying remanufactured cartridges? or should I just spend the money and buy brand new ones?

- BUY NEW HP cartridges. I've made the mistake of refilling and using remanufactured and in both cases destroyed a printer. Your better off spending a few extra bucks now and not have to worry about getting a new printer.
- I wouldn't recommend it. The main problem w/ the HP printers & reman'd printer cartridges is that they disable your ink meter (so you don't know how much you have left). Also, I have had several problems with the ink coagulating in other printers.
- Do not refill. You can save a lot of money with remanufactured cartridges, however here are the ground rule. The vendor must - offer a 100% satisfaction guarantee - be a reputable dealer and carry a variety of products, it does help if they are a well established cartridge store. - have knowledge of the printer. Yes some will disable your ink level, however the vendor should be able to tell you the signs of when the cartridge is getting low. - Have stock, you do run into the occasional "bad" Cartridge, if that is the case you want to make sure the exchange or refund process goes smoothly. A remanufactured cartridge should never leak. if you see any signs of ink inside the bad, take it back. Better yet if the packaging allows inspect the cartridge in the store. When you find a good dealer, stick with them. You can save a lot of money buying third party cartridges. You should not notice any difference between a good REMAN and the OEM.
