How to solve the " error message 1158" problem when downloading and installing an hp deskjet printer driver?

i have an hp deskjet printer 3550 and i'm trying to download it's driver from hp.com but the installation process stops at an error message 1158 what can i do ?

1. Make sure the printer isn't connected or at least turn it off try again when prompted either turn it on or hook it up.
