Should I Cancel my HP LAPTOP order since HP is going out of business?

I heard today that HP was actually stopping its PC business...Do you guys think it'd be a good idea to cancel my order for their DV6TQE that i ordered 4 days ago, and costs 1,300 USD. What do you guys think? What will happen if they stop their PC business? What could this mean to people who already own their computers? It's not too late for me to back out, but i really like the specs that i got, and for that price, i can't get anything better. Tell me what you guys think i should do! 1. Yes
  2. Are you high? Hp won't be going out of business for a long time.
  3. If you want to, you can. HP will still probably stand behind that computer for it's warranty. HP really fucked up. As in, REALLY fucked up. They wouldn't be in the situation they were in if they hadn't fucked up so bad.
  4. While it would be somewhat funny for them to take an even bigger bath with a gazillion order cancellations, they are not going out of business. They just won't be selling PCs any more. They are a solid and profitable company even if their stock drops to actual asset levels and will have zero issues supporting your hardware for any warranty period. I like their laptop hardware/prices better than any of their competitors right now and will have to get one more before they stop selling them. There actions would really only affect someone keeping a laptop for more than 3 years in that they may sell the support division to another company that may go out of business. This would make recovery disks and spare parts nearly impossible to obtain. Compaq actually did that with an entire lineup of systems before HP bought them and I have run across a few customers where recovery disks and proprietary parts were not available as soon as their warranties ended.
