Can I use HP laser 2600n printer as only black and White?

hp laser 2600n, I would like to use this printer as only black and White printer without (empty colour cartridges) colour cartridges . The reason is my blue toner cartridge is bit dodgy.. Some blue colour line come up on the print out ( regardless black and White or colour print out). So I am just wondering if I can empty red blue and yellow cartriges can I use this printer with only black cartridge ?

1. No, with most printers you are required to have ink in both the black and color ink cartridges in order to print in black as well as color because they work in conjunction with each other. So it is necessary to have both color and black ink cartridges with ink
2. I can't remember the print properties of that specific laser printer. But there should be a feature in your print properties to print monochrome. If you have some faulty toner cartridges you can't really remove them because of the pressure switches inside. But if those cartridges are leaking the best thing to do is replace them. There should be a supplies test menu you can use to determine if the cartridges are at fault. Read the owner's guide or print out a menu map to find the right selection.
