Does Staples take really old ink cartridges in their ink recycling program?

I use the Staples ink recycling program all the time but I just recently went through an old storage container and I found some really old (year 2000) ink cartridges that are empty. Will they take these? I would just ask a Staples associate but I won't be going to Staples for a couple weeks. If they won't take these old cartridges I'll just stick them in the city incinerator pile.

2. Trust me, they will NOT refuse them. You just place them in a bin by the front door. There is no screening process.
