- Opengl is a programming language, so why you would need it to run games, is beyond me.
- OpenGL is actually commonly used to code games, so yes, you probably will need it. I'm not sure if it is something you have to install or not though, to be honest you should of used common sense (I'm not even sure if half the people on here HAVE common sense, half the questions could be answered with a 30 second google) and searched on google. All you would have to do is google "What is OpenGL?" instead of waiting 10-30 minutes on here for a decent answer.
- Go with a desktop! You can get a desktop for half the price and double the speed of a laptop. A good gaming laptop has to be at least $800 but you can get a desktop that has a better everything for $500-$600. If you want a laptop that bad... go get an Alienware m14x.
- OpenGL (Open Graphics Library)[3] is a standard specification defining a cross-language, cross-platform API for writing applications that produce 2D and 3D computer graphics. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/OpenGL Call Hp customer support (it is free) and ask if your model supports 2D and 3D games.
- compatibility issues check your specs on the program to see if it works with window 7
