I can't get my printer to work HP Officejet 6500A Plus?

Okay, so my parents decided to buy the HP Officejet 6500A Plus when it went on sale because we were still printing on a dinosaur. Now that we've had it for almost two months it's decided to stop working. Well this is just great right? If you know anything about these printers, they're supposed to be wireless, a copier, scanner, fax machine, and able to connect to the internet without even needing the computer through apps you can get from the touch screen. Well it doesn't want to connect to the wireless router. My dad decided to just run the wire through the next room and have it connected to the internet through the wire. Now, it worked a couple of times. Then once again, it left me disappointed and stopped working. I'm starting to just give up on this computer.I went to a couple of websites trying to figure out what the problem is, and of course, all the websites I could find were like, Oh yeah. We'll help you alright, but you need to pay a fee of 60 bucks. If we don't fix it, you can have 30 back. I have a really big document that I need to print for my shop elective and it won't work. Basically, has anyone else had this problems?Did you fix it? I just want some help to figure out how to get this document printed. I'm also using Windows XP to print it off a Dell netbook. They're both connected to the same internet, and I've restarted the printer twice and unplugged it and plugged it back in. Just want some help. Thanks for reading:)
