- I'm running that right now. It is a good CPU cooler, but the radiator is as thick as a fan, and by the time you put a fan on top of the radiator, it gets to be a pretty big stack, so anything on the motherboard that is near where the fan goes might get less cooling. On my setup, that is OK, but if your RAM is near the cooling fan, you may make your RAM warmer with this. If you're worried about temperature, add a regular case fan. If you're running an i5, you probably have some sort of cooler on the CPU already, so changing to this cooler might not help much.
- To start off, liquid cooling systems are good, but hard to install, and ive even heard of some people having leaks and it ruined some of there parts. But im pretty sure its rare that it would happen. Now if you still dont mind and want to do Liquid cooling, go right ahead. Just make sure your case can fit all that. If you want to go for air cooling/you changed your mind to air cooling Very quiet Zalman, you can overclock if you want but it will provide excellent cooling. http://www.amazon.com/Zalman-CNPS9900LED-Ultra-Quiet-Cooler/dp/B001P1B7B4/ref=sr_1_15?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1304776641&sr=1-15 You do realize there is no need for liquid cooling unless you want your temps at 10C or if you want to overclock?
