What is the difference between these two ink cartridges for an epson printer?

I have an epson printer and when you take the black ink cartridge out it says for 125 on it but when i look online i also find ink 124 cartridges for my printer too. The 124 cartridge is about 2-3 dollars cheaper. What is the difference? & can I use 124 for my printer rather then 125?

1. The 124 is considered a moderate yield cartridge. In other words, the Epson 125 ink cartridge will last longer b/c it contains more ink.
