are hp laptops good, how does this one sound?

Is HP reliable? Have they gotten better through out the years? It seems people only had bad things to say a few years ago but things seem to be looking better. I was thinking about buying this laptop.. it costs $942.00 with tax and shipping. 1. I think they're better than they used to be. I just bought one from Staples. Mine isn't as nice as that one though.
2. I'm not an expert at all but I've had a couple of Hp's and they've all been really reliable, and they were just regular ones, I now have a dell and wish I had an Hp! I have an Hp printer and that is reliable and most of my family uses Hp laptops so I would recommend an Hp.
3. It's not bad but depends on what you want to use it for. It has good processors decent graphics, I'd chuck Norton and get something else, good memory. I'd also ask for a copy of your os so you have a recovery disk. Really the big question is what do you want to use it for? That's how you tell if the computer is going to be good or not.
4. im not a computer genius but i have this one without the t its the pavilion dv7 idk if theyre the same. anyways umm so far its good i mean the battery is really good for now. mines has beats audio n its pretty cool. nothing has gone wrong so far but im happy with it. again im not a computer genius i just do regular student work and go on the internet.
