i bought a printer from a thrift store?

its an HP. and its a copier, printer, scanner, and a fax machine. do i need a disc to put in my computer to use it because i know that my last HP printer you did.

  1. No, not really. You just need to put paper in it, plug the USB cable into the printer and you pc/mac, then do a test doc. It should just start printing. Hope this helped :)

It really depends on the printer model and your version of Windows (i.e. XP, Vista, 7, etc.) Some printers are automatically recognized by certain versions of Windows and will install the drivers needed to setup the printer, but others will require a driver/software download. You may wish to, or need to, download the complete software package, including the drivers, so that you will be able to use the printer to it's fullest capability. To download the software, you'll need to go to HP website and find your printer model, Windows version, and then download as needed.
