Have you had success with refilling ink cartridges?

I have a bunch of ink cartridges I'm planning to take to recycling. But I do wonder, since printer ink is so expensive, does it really work to get cartridges refilled? What are your experiences with this?

1. Most printer manufacturers are now putting sensors in their ink cartridges that cannot be reset. You will always get low ink error messages. I have found the print quality is not as good as using brand series ink cartridges. Rick

3. Yes, I refill my HP ink cartridges and have been doing so for many years. If you aren't up for the challenge, a good alternative to consider is remanufactured ink cartridges. Those are ink cartridges that were used, cleaned, and then refilled by a professional.
