Is there an alternative way or drivers to install my HP Deskjet 1180c printer on my Windows Vista?

1. Unfortunately, HP does not directly support or provide official drivers or software for the Deskjet 1180c for Windows Vista. There is not much you can do about that. A quick search on google turned up nothing on any modified drivers for Vista. That being said, all is not lost. Assuming you can bare not using the additional software that comes with HP printers, and are satisfied with printer functionality, just plug it in and hope Vista is able to locate either a generic printer driver, or one through Windows update. Vista has a significantly larger base of generic and product drivers than Windows XP, which makes many more products Plug-and-Play. Alternatively, or if the above yields no success simply use the Windows XP drivers/disc. Most XP drivers will function just fine on Vista, however some can be picky and/or troublesome, but there is no harm in trying.
