What is the difference between Photoconductor Kit and Toner Cartridge?
What is the difference between these two? and do you have to buy both to make the printer work or is one of them a substitute for the other? thx ;)

- It depends on the brand and design of the laser printer. Some printers have the photoconductive drum and the toner all in one cartridge. Some printers have the drum and the toner separately. The toner is the powder that the printer uses, The photoconductor kit is the coated drum (or sometimes, belt) which takes the image as a charge from the laser , picks up the toner particles, and then transfers them to the paper. Usually, if the photoconductive drum is separate from the toner, the drum will last for many more pages than the toner. Check the printer's manuals for recommended replacement schedules.
