Can I use my hp printer wired and wireless at the same time?

My printer is wired to my pc. I want to use my laptop wirelessly. Can i do that at the same time? Sometimes send to printer from pc--wired; sometimes send to printer from laptop--wireless? Printer finds the wireless network but, dispite correct password, cannot connect to wireless network.

1. Look at the documentation that came with your printer. The HP printer I set up for a friend had to be hardwired while it was being setup, but once it was done, it used the wireless only. Just use the desktop computer to set it up, but tell it that is wireless. Once you are done, remove the USB cable and your computer will still connect (through the network cable attached to the router). When you are ready to set up the printer on the laptop, just use the add printer wizard. It will find it and install it.
