HP printer: do you have to install the software that came on the cd?

Ever since I installed the software, I've been havinge problems while surfing the internet. So I want to remove these programs: HP Driver Software HP Imaging Device Functions HP Smart Web Printing HP Solution Center HP Update HPSSupply There were also two others but I have already uninstalled them. Can I uninstall all of these too? Or do I need them to use the printer. I only use it for standard printing.

1. You need the driver or the printer will not work.
2. You have to leave the driver software or the printer wil stop working, the rest can go.
3. I agree with both of the the above answers, but have something to add - if it's a multifunction printer and you take out HP Solution Center, you'll have some problems scanning. If you take out HP Imaging Device Functions, you will not be able to use the buttons on the front of the printer for anything but stand-alone applications (copying). I would recommend taking out HP Update, for sure. HP Updates never make things better, they only "do nothing" or screw up the software.
