can i use a top exhaust power supply in my hp case?

i have an hp case with the power supply in the top of the case, i want to get a 5-600 watt psu for it and most of them have top exhausting fans, would i be ok putting one of them in my system? i need it for a video card.

1. most PSU with those big fans on "top" are intake fans not exhaust, they expel the air out the back like any other PSU, you simply install them up side down for top mounted ( so the big fan faces down) or if your using it as a bottom mounted PSU the big fan faces up.
