1. Sony HX5V. The picture quality is phenomenal. Do not go with Fuji or Panasonic comparing to a Sony. It's just not the same. You can hear the HX1 if you zoom for videos... the lens make a vibrating noise and ruins the videos, plus, the HX1 only takes memory sticks which are A LOT more expensive than all the other memory cards.
