can i transfer The Sims 3 to my mini laptop hp computer using a hard drive?

i wanna get this game "The Sims 3" but the computer i am using now has little room and the screen is to dark (and yea its on the brightest setting)...am i able to do the transfer? so i know i wont mess this up can you tell me in steps?...stupid request i know, but plz.

1. You cant just transfer a Sims 3 game. You have to install the game on the other computer. Copy your Saves file and your downloads to your new computer if you want to keep your saved Sims 3 game(s).
