Do you need to keep the drivers for HP PSC 1200?
My computer recently got reformatted so I had to reinstall everything. I found that my printer would not install and it had stated that it couldn't find the necessary programs for it to run. I then went and downloaded the driver for it and it install ok. Now the problem is that I do not want that many things on my computer as it will lag so I am wondering if my printer would still work if i uninstalled the drivers. I am running Windows XP and the printer HP PSC 1200. Thanks

- If you un-install the drivers, it will not print. The drivers are the software interface that lets the computer tell the printer what it needs it to do. You can delete the download, but not the drivers.
- Yes, go to the HP web site and you can download them from there, hope this helped and good luck.
- Yes..let me answer this question , I hope it will help u... To make printer work we need to install the software , how ever software will enable the printer to work as well as make the advance features enable like scanning, editing , etc... If reinstalling the software is a pain then you can try installing alternate drivers which are already install in your computer i mean windows xp....let me inform you that using alternate drivers you can only be able to print ... advance features will not work .....so its ur choice to instal the software or install alternate driverrs...
