Laptop experts, which laptop should I buy for college?

I want a high performance durable multimedia laptop for college and I've narrowed my choices down to these four. I will be using it mainly for word documents, video editing, multi-tasking, web-browsing, and casual-competitive gaming. I will be either a kinesiology or film major. Most likely film major so I will probably doing a lot of video related activities and editing. I'm open for suggestions as well. 1. Save yourself a lot of hassles and frustration. Buy a Mac. A Mac will cost you a little bit more up front, but it will come with everything you need; and, everything just works the way it should. Also, with a Mac, you won't need to worry about viruses, spyware and other malicious threats. I should also mention that Macs will typically last a lot longer, and will retain a higher resale or trade-in value.
  2. Although in most situations I would recommend the T410 simply because of the durable construction, for your purposes the dv6z seems seems to be the best because it has a quad core and better graphics. However, if you're a klutz, abuse your laptop, expect it to last a good deal of time, or need a comfortable keyboard, take the T410. It's simply a lot tougher built by virtue of being a Thinkpad, and it has a magnesium alloy endoskeleton and the plastic panels are reinforced with carbon fiber and fiberglass. However, it has somewhat of a performance deficit against the other two.
  3. I recommed you to use Leawo Free DVD Creator It is easy to use, and it can convert videos to dvd in several steps. You can find Leawo Free DVD Creator here: http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&newwindow=1&q=leawo+dvd+creator&aq=f&aqi=g2&oq= Wish it can help, good luck!
