How good of games would a HP Laptop Computer with Intel® Core™ i5 Processor laptop be able to play?
I'm thinking of getting one for Christmas and was wondering how good it would be? Or would it be better to get a laptop with Intel Pentium (which is about $200 cheaper) and then just buy a better graphics card for it later?

- You need a good graphics card to play a game, the core i5 will be able to handle any game but it would still be bad without a graphics card. Same other way around. You need the combination of both being good to be able to run games smoothly.
- Game performance depends on the video hardware more than the processor, and you can't change the video card in most laptops.
- the older halflife 1 game and it's family of mods like Counterstrike will run ok on that. It shouldn't have much of a problem running halflife 2 as well. Same for the Unreal Tournament series. Warcraft 3, Starcraft, and the command and conquer games for RTS. It should actually run more games than you think it will. hope it will help :o))))
