Acer or Hp laptop for first time buyer?

I'm looking for my first laptop and Wal-Mart has two on sale right now. First the Acer Aspire AS5736Z-4016, which has 4gb memory 320 gb harddrive webcam hdmi out and windows 7 the second is the HP G62-339WM, w/ 3gb memory, 320 gb harddrive webcam and windows 7. My question is which one is the better for someone with little experience on computers and are they basically the same except for how much space is on them. The acer also comes with a flashdrive and carrying case, both are the same price. Helpplease, and if there is another more suitable one you can think of feel free to comment.

1. acer if they are the same price or almost the same .. ask the person who works there what they would choose and why just for more opinion
2. HP Computers tend to cost a little more, so for a first time buyer and Acer will probably be fine. I had the option between the two and I bought the Acer. I love it!
3. Well i have had bad experiences with Acer so as an HP laptop owner I would say go with the HP. I have the HP-G72 and my boss has the one u are looking at. HP has some great features on their laptops that i like too. So like i said. My opinion is the HP hands down.

Depends..Netbook, Notebook...see there is a difference..I think acer has Intel, and HP has intel...I usually buy intel because i don't do gaming on a laptop..If you are low in money, then acer is the right choice...but if you want to spend a little bit more on brand go with HP...I would get something like a HP pavilion Entertainment PC, dv4....I'm a student an i bought the right laptop, which is a HP dv4 pavilion entertainment laptop, 14.1...for around $700, core 2 duo...i do coding/programs for college..would recommend something like i have..great laptop..
5. My laptop is a acer aspire. I like it a lot. My desktop computer is a HP, and i have seen lots of downsides. I think you should go for the acer.
