When will hp release a new pavilion line of laptops?

I was looking to buy a new hp but heard their current pavilion line wasn't so good. Is there a new one coming anytime soon? Thanks. Whats the difference between hp and hp compaq?

1. The Pavilions have and always will suck, get an HP Compaq, I think they call them Probooks now. HP Compaq is the business line of computers (not to be confused with Compaq Presarios).
2. Honestly, I would not hold out for a quality improvement in a new line from HP, their quality has been shaky for some time now. Try an MSI laptop, or Sony, or Lenovo Edit: There used to be one, but they are run by the same company. The laptop brands we see come in for repairs most frequently are Gateway, Compaq, and Toshiba in that order
