I have a HP mini netbook?

I have this Hp mini that runs WindowsXP and i have this program that wont let me do a restore on my computer. This program keeps blocking me out even the command prompt. It keeps poping up and saying the same thing over and over, "this file is ifected and a worm is trying to use you presonal info to get in it. Is there another way to restore the system without having to go the the start>> All Programs>> Accessories>> System Tools>> System Restore?
