is hp photo smart c3100 ink cartridge compatible with c3125?

I'm not exactly sure. I've heard that it is it even fits in, but when i put it in the printer nothing prints out. Also I'm not sure if blinking lights mean anything. Before, the lights on the printer blinked, but now they don't. *I need an immediate answer please because I ordered HP 92 Black Printer Ink Cartridge Photo smart C3125 and my printer is HP Photo smart 3100 (92 Black Printer Ink Cartridge) And i need to return it ASAP. I appreciate any answers. Thanks in advance.

1. well, the number are different, so i guess its different?? i would return it immediatly if i was u, just throw it away??!!!
2. If they are in the 3100 series printers, which they are, then they should work just fine. Did you remove the plastic strip from the ink cartridge?
