  1. I prefer canon, its my favorite camera, don't think much just go for a DSLR camera from Canon.
  2. Hey, The 7D is better, but it actually competes with the D300s, which is also worse. Why? Well, the 7D has 6 more megapixels and same amount of noise. It's faster (8 vs 7fps), has better video features (more resolutions and frame rates including 60fps). With 1500$, you can get a great DSLR. Here is a post called 'Buying a DSLR, what's important, megapixels, features, brand, price, quality, video and which one to get. There are also Amazon, Adorama and B&H links (cheap and best), here is the post - http://the-digital-photographer.blogspot.com/2009/03/which-dslr-to-buy.html Good luck. I'd get the 7D or T2i.
  3. Both are excellent cameras but I would save the money and get the D90 and a nice lens. In fact, if I were you, I would also check out the Nikon D5000. Below is a link to DxO Labs who rates camera sensors and it is a page that compares the Canon 7D, Nikon D90 and Nikon D5000 and you will see the D90 is higher rated than the 7D but the D5000 is rated basically equal and cost even less. Hope this helps. Mark
  4. I would recommend you Nikon D90 DX 12.3MP Digital SLR Camera # Movie capture at up to 1280 x 720 (720p) 24 fps with mono sound # IS0 200-3200 range (100-6400 expanded) # 4.5 frames per second continuous shooting # 3D tracking AF (11 point) http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001ENOZY4?ie=UTF8&tag=bestdeals-y-20&linkCode=as2&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=B001ENOZY4 And invest the money in lenses http://www.best-discount-deals.com/1_6_compare-prices_nikon%20lenses_0_1.aspx
  5. I would go for a Nikon D3000
