What are the best digital cameras for LEGO Stop Motion?

The one I have now is terrible for it. What ones take good quality pics and are good at focusing with LSM? I have a Kodak Easyshare Z1285. I need it for LEGO Stop Motion... which is taking pictures of small figures from a foot away. The pictures were fine up until today. They're now blurry every other picture I take.

  1. What is wrong with the one you have? Sorry to tell you this, but generally speaking it is rarely the camera that is to blame for bad images. You can put a fantastic professional camera in the wrong hands, and it will take lousy photos. A good photographer can coax great photos out of even the simplest cameras. If you borrow a few books on photography and watch a bunch of tutorials, you will learn a lot. With some knowledge, you WILL take much better photos and you will learn to overcome (or at least realize) whatever limitations your camera has.
  2. its either someone played with your scene mode , or no enough light in that place , or you came a bit closer than usual check the settings of your camera the easyshare is nice, but a bit slow in focusing if you want to go to the next level of stop-motion videos : I advise you to go with a dSLR camera. or a digital SLR-like camera if you dont want to spare that amount of money, SLR-like cameras (comes with fixed lens, and Electronic viewfinder) will give you more control to your video, you can play with focus which is an incredible thing when it comes to close-ups in LEGO ! also you will have better ISO for dimmed light areas, but dont go to very big expensive SLRs, a small SLR like camera with a lens between wide and telephoto will give you good pics, and easy to move and put anywhere in your small LEGO studio, plus you will find a lot of mini tripods that can carry a small SLR. I wont recommend a special brand , Nikon , Canon, Fuji and Olympus make very nice All-In-One SLR cameras and for a good price. just make sure your stop-motion software support this camera, and go for any camera on sale from these brands :-) and dont forget to leave me a link to see your work , I love these things
