HP = cheap, and sometimes cheaply made. Dell = expensive, and often very realiable. Much better costumer service. I have a sony vaio. Love.
Never shop by the Brand sticker on the outside, shop by what hardware is on the inside and what capabilities it has!
hp and dell are best but would select dell
just look the spec inside laptop did you need to buy, don't look at brands
dell has better service, but be aware about hardware configuration,
i think dell because there are 3 reasons 1- dell is used for all purpose-es specially for programming 2- dell is the best selled laptop all over the world 3- it may be costly but it runs for many years i dont know how can hp perform
Hi, you have a gud question. I would better recommend you dell in india. Bcoz 1. Dell have value for money products in india. 2. Dell has the most number of service centres in india. 3. Dell offers you to customise your own laptop or desktop on their website. 4. Yours is here. While why not hp, 1. HP is gud but they are too costly than that of dell. 2. HP has a fewer number of service centres and offers late services all over india 3. HP IS NOT DELL. Thank you. Bgos10 :-)

Dell and HP are both equally good. both the manufacturers (both actually dont manufacture, they only assemble) provide 1 year hardware warranty and free chat-email support. if there is a hardware problem, both the manufacturers would ask you to send the laptop to their service centers. they would send a box with return label, u need to pack it and send it to their address. they wont be coming to your home to fix the hardware problem. so, it doesnt really matter much how many service centers are available in India. and both are top Fortune 50 companies. if u look at their business, during the recession period, HP performed better than Dell. what u need to look at is, ur requirement and the configuration of the notebook. both are good and it doesn't matter which one u choose.
