Is it true new HP printers like PSC 1510 have cartridges w self destruct capacity built in?

Is it true new HP printers like the HP PSC 1510 have cartridges w self destruct capacity built in if one trys to refill them? This would be similar to the Epson cartridge which has a memory chip recording the amount of ink used and preventing refill when the memory senses the cartridge is low or empty.

1. What you must understand is ink cartridges is the way they (printer companies) make their money. Do you really think that they make money on a printer that fax's, scans, and prints office forms and photo quality images for 250-300 dollars? The design money alone spent on a printer like that could have ran a printer company into the millions and they release new models every year. I know it is lame for them to do that but you can not beat the great home pictures we print at home that at one time we waited weeks for. So to answer your question, yes they do.
2. Considering that you can do refill a 21 cartridge easily at any refill kiosk, it's obvious that there is no self-destruct capability. You do lose some capability such as accurate page counts, but no, that cartridge is definitely refillable.
