What printer will be best for a home based freelance graphic design business?

I have worked with a few different printers/ finishers and I have noticed big difference in color quality. My preference was a Fiery at my internship- loved the color, but it was like a $10,000 dollar unit or something crazy like that & definitely not something I could afford. I used a Xerox Phaser (dont remember the exact model number) and I liked its results before I got to use the Fiery. I would also really like a high quality photo printer. I have used an Epson 4800 & liked it, but I would be interested in a combo unit if it exists (save on some space).

  1. For graphic designs, i would suggest getting an A3 printer because you may never know when the A3 function comes very handy. If you enjoy using the Epson, why not try Brother 6490 CW, which comes with a high resolution and high capacity and low cost inks. Moreover, it is the cheapest among all the other A3 colour printers they have in the market now. Though it is big, it still won't take up much space in your home.
