I'm having problems with my printer colours?
Hi can any one offer advice about printer colours please? I own a xerox solid ink printer which I use to make wedding stationery, but I'm having big problems at the moment with colour representation. When I select a colour to print , it looks vibrant and colourful on my lap top screen, but the colour that gets printed doesn't even look vaguely alike. I have followed various standard Xerox tests to check that my printer is ok and there are no problems there, so I can only assume that my monitor isn't displaying true colours. Can any one suggest a solution before i run out of patience, paper and ink!

- some monitors and graphic cards allow you to calibrate the monitor so it more closely represents the colour as printed.
- Sounds like the well that you insert the cartridges needs cleaning.
- *Its nice to hear that you have tried to figure out what the problem might be,..as most people(not all!) can't be bothered and expect us on here to come to there aid,..or even there Houses to help them out!* Its could be that you're Colour display on you're Monitor is allot brighter than that of you're Printer. So when you print stuff of,..it won't look as vibrant like when you saw it on-screen. There might be some setting changes for you're Printer,..perhaps it need'tweakingng,..to make it look better. Have you looked in the Control Panel to have a look at you MonitorDisplayly Resolutions? If you have a Windows PC then follow these steps to check it out. Start>Control PaneAppearance'sce and ThemeDisplayly. If you need more help,..have a look at you're Manual,..or try and contact you're Printer Manufacturer jusin casese it might be faulty and needs replacing.
