Xerox Phaser 6110 Laser Printer is ok to leave on all the time constantly?

I read somewhere that every time i turn off the printer and turn it back on again it "tests" some ink - and putting on and off every day within a few months i will run out of the colour toners and be unable to print at all?? until i refill the toners which are expensive, is this true?

1. usually laser printer "sleep" to save power and warmup again when a print job is sent. It can also depend on the settings of your printer.
2. Laser printers will not use test ink, you can turn it off without it printing a test page. However if you do want to leave it on, that will not damage the printer.
