How can I check the status of individual ink cartridges on my epson R210 for a 10.6 mac?.?

Basically the epson was brought for another another system which I had the complete software for. Now have a mac and so I downloaded the appropriate drivers. Though I can now print I cant check the individual status of cartridges, so this means when a cartridge is running low I cant tell which one it is(use to show the levels of each ink). Very annoying. Please help.
